Known as the ‘Valley of Gods’, Kullu is a cluster of beautiful valleys in Himachal Pradesh. Located
between the majestic Himalayas and river Beas, Kullu is situated at an altitude of 1230 m. Kullu, along
with Manali, are favorite hill stations with tourists especially honeymooners. Scenic views and snowclad mountains, towering Deodar jungles, rivers and apple orchards have attracted several feature
filmmakers too.
Kullu is a hot-spot for adventure sports. Trekking, river rafting, mountaineering, paragliding and
hiking over the Himalayan glaciers are some of the activities that Kullu offers. Angling is another
activity enjoyed a lot by locals as well as tourists. Mountaineering beginners can trek around the Beas
Kund region, Hanuman Tibba and Deo Tibba.

Weather: The weather in Kullu is pleasant throughout the year but the best time to visit the town is from March
to October. Part of the Kullu valley, the town enjoys summer, monsoon and winter every year.
Summer continues from March to June and the maximum temperature during this time is between 25° C and 37°
C. It is a good time for tourist activities and sightseeing.
July to mid-September is when Kullu experiences monsoon that brings occasional showers. Landslides are
common during this time of the year.
Mid-September to February is when Kullu enjoys winter. Temperature falls to subzero levels. This season is quite
chilly and accompanied by snowfall.
